Renewables in Ghana

Ghana is blessed with both the natural resources required to facilitate the growth of a buoyant renewables sector and the political will to proceed. It is obvious that there would have been little or no progress in renewable energy development was it not for the substantial sums which come by way of foreign investment. This short note has been prepared with the foreign investor and developer in mind and seeks to set out in simple terms the backstory of the opportunity itself and also the legislative framework which underpins activity in this sector.
